Dreams, Mourning, and “Going to See a Man About a Mule.”

Dreams, Mourning, and “Going to See a Man About a Mule.”

Today is Friday, August 23, 2019. Please let me encourage you today: Don’t be overcome with fear, hatred and terror with the reports that are running wild. Look up and have hope. I’m having to do the same thing. When things get rough, I have to resist fighting with my emotions and my opinions. I have to use faith, hope, love and logic when my natural self would want to strike back at the naysayers. Pray for me, please. I’ll…

Today Is My Birthday

Today Is My Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated MLK’s birthday. Several candidates announced a presidential bid yesterday. Most if not all of those candidates are pro-abortion. Today is my birthday. Today is also the anniversary of the horribly bad Roe v. Wade legislation which become law in 1973. I’m not marching for life today. We did that last Friday at the annual March for Life where I was blessed to do the closing prayer. However, I am praying; and blogging. Don’t be fooled y’all. Abortion…

Marching for Life, Congressman King’s Our Brother, The Wall Makes Sense, MLK DAY All About Love

Marching for Life, Congressman King’s Our Brother, The Wall Makes Sense, MLK DAY All About Love

As “boots on the ground” in Washington, DC for the 24th Annual National Memorial Prayer Service and the March for Life today, I’m also getting calls to defend Congressman Steve King for racist remarks. Meanwhile, my family and I are in the heat and heart of the celebration of the 90th birthday of my uncle Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. And people are still fighting about the wall. I’m being asked if Congressman King a racist? Actually, from my…

African American Leaders Unite Around the Wall to Help Avoid Looming Crisis

African American Leaders Unite Around the Wall to Help Avoid Looming Crisis

Some claim that building a wall is “medieval solution” to a modern problem. The wheel is an ancient solution too. Nobody’s complaining about that. POTUS is on target. Walls do work; as in the days of Ezra and Nehemiah, walls are still viable solutions. Why now? Just days away are the March for Life and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday yet America is in crisis at the southern border. As an African American voice for justice, a defender of…

Wow, What a Week: Prison Reform, Abortion, Fake News, and Prayer at the White House

Wow, What a Week: Prison Reform, Abortion, Fake News, and Prayer at the White House

First, #PrisonSeparatesFamilies. #BringOurDadsHome. Angela Stanton and I just returned from speaking at a prison ministry service in Mississippi to about 200 men. Almost every man in the room was a father, grandfather and some were great-grandfathers. It was such a blessing to be able to bring hope to the lives of those that in a place that presumably doesn’t often offer much hope. Second, #AbortionSeparatesFamilies. #LetOurChildrenLive. Abortion activists are at it again. This time it’s The Afiya Center, a black…

50 Years After, MLK’s Dream Still Lives On

On April 4, 2018 the world will remember the life and legacy of my Uncle Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. whose life on earth was cut short by an assassin’s bullet 50 years ago. Please pray for the immediate family of MLK/CSK during this sensitive time. As a member of “The King Family Legacy” and of the Board of Trustees for The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change founded by his widow, the valiant Mrs. Coretta…

Evangelist Alveda C. King: More Surprises Ahead in the Race (No Pun Intended) of the Century

As we celebrate many landmark victories at the beginning of the 2018 new year, including the new MLK National Historic Park and other historical revelations, we may also be gearing up for the race of the century; President Trump and Oprah. At any rate for now, let us thank God for the opportunities before us. We can be great again. We are approaching “Black History Month.” Let’s prepare to maximize opportunities for unity and reconciliation as we acknowledge the biblical…

Racism Must Die So That America Can Thrive.

Racism Must Die So That America Can Thrive.

Friends, there is a reason why I’m Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn here in the 21st Century. As we see from the most recent racially motivated massacre in Virginia, racism is still alive and raising hell. Think about it. Racism is sin. Hatred is sin. Yet for whatever reason, the pot of domestic terrorism continues to be stirred under the guise of promoting “racial supremacy.” The big lie is that we are separate races, when in fact the…
